In three words, can you describe your-…
… -self? Loyal, clumsy, storyteller.
… Style? Edgy, classy, creative.
… Thoughts for 2019? Yoga, travel, piano.
… Dream day? Eat, explore, sleep.
… Relationship with winter? Definitely craving summer.
Through your Instagram (and the fact that you work at GANNI) we clearly see that you have a great sense of style. How important is staying up-to-date in fashion and trends for you?
I’m not so much about trends, to me it is important to stay true to my personal style. I love playing with new fabrics and patterns, as well as adding new items such as bags, sunglasses and shoes to update my wardrobe.
In your wardrobe, what are the must-have key-pieces?
Black merino wool turtleneck, a great pair of jeans and a fresh pair of sneakers.
When in a fashion-crisis, what do you wear?
When in a fashion crisis I tend to go all black.
How’s your favourite designer at the moment?
Since I’m into bags and eyewear I’ve always been very found of Chanel and Balenciaga. I usually like to mix high end fashion with less expensive clothing you can find at stores like H&M.
What’s true beauty in your opinion?
A kind heart.
How do you practice self-love?
I try not to compare myself to other people, and rather focus on how to see myself the way I see the people close to me that I love.
Can you share with us your AM/PM routine for your glowing and healthy skin?
My AM/PM routine is pretty simple: I clean my face every morning and evening before I go to bed with Filorga cleansing foam, as well as adding moisturizing serum and day cream.
You have ten minutes in front of the mirror before heading out, what do you do?
Put my hair up in a bun, concealer to even out my complexion and put on some 8 hour cream from Elizabeth Arden.
What’s your favorite travel destination and why?
I love Italy because of the amazing food, culture and nature. There is something about the energy and the calm atmosphere that I just love. We always used to travel there as a family when I was younger and I guess I just fell more and more in love with it.
If you could bring any person - dead or alive - with you on a vacation, who would it be and where would you take them?
If i was free to choose any person to go on a vacation with I would definitely bring Picasso to see the fjords, discuss art, drink some good old wine and go hiking.
You’ve lived in New York City for several years. Can you share your best tips for what to do there?
One of my favorite things to do in the city is to eat out. There are so many amazing coffee shops and restaurants that are worth a visit. I recommend Ladybird in East Village if you’re into vegan dishes, SEAMORE’S in SoHo for the best tacos and I’m also still a big fan of Ruby’s, which is an Australian owned restaurant with a chill and super cozy atmosphere .
My favorite activity when to the city is to walk around and explore new small boutiques and vintage shops. On my last visit in the city I found this amazing jeweler located on 185 Centre street called NewTop Jewelry. The owner, Jane, has a great collection of unique jewelry.
Where do you want to go on your next vacation?
I’ve always wanted to go to Tokyo for the food, shopping and culture.
